2015年3月26日是中國著名詩人海子逝世26周年忌日。《面朝大海,春暖花開》寫于1989年1月13日。 然而兩個月后，1989年3月26日，海子在河北省山海關(guān)附近臥軌自殺。

　　從明天起，做一個幸福的人

　　喂馬、劈柴，周游世界

　　從明天起，關(guān)心糧食和蔬菜

　　我有一所房子，面朝大海，春暖花開

　　with spring blossoms.

　　write to each of my dear ones,

　　Telling them of my happiness,

　　What the lightening of happiness has told me,

　　I will spread it to each of them.

　　Strangers, I will also wish you happy.
